Tack'd Up — a horse's face drawn in two spare line clusters: ears and forelock above, muzzle below, the name between them

Every dose. Every day.
Signed, and on the record.

Tack’d Up is the shared care record for your barn — your staff log the day as it happens, and the record stands behind every horse in your care.

HOW IT WORKS

One line runs the whole day.

No feed board to decode, no group text to scroll. The day is a single ruled line — what’s due, what’s done, and who did it.

THE MANAGER’S DAY

Your rounds, in order.

The Day Line opens on what needs you: this morning’s doses, turnout, the farrier at two. Overdue sits at the top in red — word and color, readable across the aisle, checkable with gloves on.

  • Every horse in the barn on one line
  • DUE, GIVEN, OVERDUE — never just a color
  • Built for one thumb, mid-round
Manager's Day Line: AM rounds, Finley's Equioxx due, Duke's and Willow's doses marked given with the giver's name

THE DOSE, SIGNED

Confirm it once. It stays confirmed.

Marking a dose given takes one deliberate tap on the full name of the drug, the amount, and the horse — no batch-checking a med list from the tack room. The entry is signed with your name and the time, and it can’t be quietly edited later. A mistake gets a visible correction, chained to the original — never an eraser.

  • Append-only medication log
  • Corrections are new entries, linked — not rewrites
  • Exactly what was prescribed, recorded verbatim

THE OWNER’S DAY

The same record, in plain language.

Boarders who ride free with your barn open their horse’s day and see calm, not a dashboard: “Finley is having a good day — all doses given.” What your staff documented is simply there when they look — the written record doing the reassuring, so your phone doesn’t have to.

  • One shared record per horse — no second version of the truth
  • Owners see only their own horses
  • No activity pings — to them, or about them (see our privacy promise)

THE WHITEBOARD

The whiteboard forgets.
The record doesn’t.

Every barn already runs on a whiteboard — feed on one wall, meds on another, turnout by the door. It’s a great board and a terrible record: what gets wiped off at night is gone by morning, and the only backup is a photo on someone’s phone. Tack’d Up is the whiteboard that keeps the record.

Photograph the board. It transcribes.

Point the app at the board you already use — feed board, med board, turnout board. Tack’d Up reads it and lays out the day as draft entries on the Day Line: doses, feed, turnout, matched to your horses. Then a person confirms every line before it files. Transcription proposes; you dispose — nothing is silently auto-filed into a record people’s horses depend on.

REPLACE THE BOARD

Retire it. The Day Line is the board now — the same glanceable day, on every phone in the barn, and visible to owners without a trip down the aisle.

OR KEEP IT — AS A COMPANION

Keep writing the board exactly as you do today. One photo at night-check, and the permanent record catches up with the board the barn already trusts.

  • Your existing board is day-one data — one photo starts the roster, the feed program, and the med schedule
  • Drafts, not silent entries — a person confirms every transcribed line
  • The board photo stays attached, so any entry can be checked against the original handwriting
  • What gets wiped off a board is gone. What lands here is signed, timestamped, and kept

THE RECORD

Written like it might be read back to you.

Someday a vet, an owner, or an insurer may ask what happened on a Tuesday in March. Tack’d Up is built so the answer is already written down.

APPEND-ONLY MEDS

The medication log cannot be edited after the fact — at the database level, not by policy. What was given, when, and by whom stays exactly as it was entered.

EVERY ENTRY, AN AUTHOR

Nothing in the record is anonymous. Each entry carries the name and role of the person who wrote it — manager, staff, or owner — and authorship can’t be reassigned.

YOUR LIABILITY SHIELD

A complete, signed, timestamped care history is the best answer a good barn can give. The same record that runs your morning rounds is the one that stands behind your work.

1record per horse
0editable dose entries
100%of entries signed
2roles, one truth

THE PRIVACY PROMISE

No pings. Ever.

Tack’d Up never notifies one side of the barn about the other side’s activity. Owners are not alerted when staff log an entry; staff are not alerted when an owner writes one. The record is pull-only — it’s there when someone opens it, silent when they don’t.

The only reminders in the app are schedule-based: a dose coming due, a farrier visit tomorrow. Reminders about the calendar — never surveillance of each other.

QUESTIONS

Asked at the barn gate.

What happens to my horse’s record if I leave the barn?

You keep it. Your horse’s full record — every dose, note, and photo — stays with you, forever, in your own account. The barn keeps the entries its staff wrote during your stay, but loses access to your horse’s record going forward. Nobody is held hostage by their horse’s history.

Can a dose entry be changed after it’s logged?

No — and that’s deliberate. The medication log is append-only. If something was entered wrong, the fix is a new correction entry chained to the original, so both stay visible. A record that can be silently rewritten isn’t a record.

Will owners get a notification every time we log something?

No. Tack’d Up sends no cross-side activity notifications in either direction. Owners check the record when they choose to; your staff are never pinged about owner activity either. The only reminders are schedule-based — doses due, appointments coming up.

Does Tack’d Up recommend medications or doses?

Never. Tack’d Up records what your veterinarian prescribed — verbatim. It doesn’t suggest drugs, doses, or withdrawal times, and first-aid content is checklist-only. Medical judgment stays with your vet; the record-keeping is ours.

My boarder doesn’t use the app. Can I still log their horse?

Yes. You can keep a complete record for any horse in your barn whether or not its owner has joined. If the owner later signs up, they can claim the record you’ve been keeping — the history is already there.

Our barn runs on a whiteboard. Do we have to give it up?

No. Keep the board if the barn loves the board — photograph it at the end of rounds and Tack’d Up transcribes it into draft entries you confirm, so what used to be wiped off every night becomes a signed record instead. Or retire the board and run the Day Line live. The board is welcome either way; it just stops being the only copy.

What doesn’t Tack’d Up do?

On purpose: no invoicing, no lesson scheduling, no payroll. Tack’d Up is the care record — the Day Line, the dose log, and the calendar around them — and it stays focused on being the record your barn can stand behind.

Tack up. We’ll keep the record.
